Little Arches is an intimate boutique hotel on the south west coast of Barbados, tucked away by a bay close to the small fishing village of Oistins. The family run property exudes Mediterranean style adjacent to the pristine white sands of Enterprise Beach.
Little Arches is adults-only and boasts just 10 rooms and suites, each of which has been individually designed with tropical décor and artist-commissioned watercolour paintings. Many of the suites extend onto a terrace, balcony or private garden area, with some also boasting their own private plunge pool or whirlpool.
Guests at Little Arches can relax by the swimming pool on the terracotta tiled terrace, or wander over to the beach that the property overlooks. The hotel also has a tranquil spa which is nestled in tropical gardens, providing a range of massages and treatments.
Café Luna is an award winning, al fresco restaurant which is found on the rooftop of Little Arches with stunning panoramic views. It serves light lunches and snacks throughout the day, and is known for its Pan-Tropical cuisine which combines Caribbean, Asian and Mediterranean flavours.
For guests staying at Little Arches for over ten nights, there is a complimentary day trip on the luxury, 44 foot catamaran, Silver Moon, where guests will be offered delicious food and the chance to swim with the turtles.
A cliffside wedding garden with the sparkling, turquoise ocean makes for an idyllic backdrop for a celebration and Little Arches has its own wedding coordinator.
Looking for affordable luxury at a small hotel with character, charm and great food? I recommend you book your holiday at Little Arches. Family owned and operated this award winning adult only hotel is a brilliant find. The spaces have bright Caribbean colours with a Mediterranean touch, and one of the most inviting pool areas I have seen. Each room or suite has an individual feel, with lovely details and fittings such as artist commissioned paintings and imported Italian ceramic floors.
I loved the Garden Junior Suites with whirlpools on their spacious patio decking, also the Luxury Ocean Suite with private plunge pool is perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway.
Café Luna on the hotel rooftop not only has received many awards for its culinary excellence, it in my opinion has one of the most romantic and scenic outlooks as well. The hotel is not on the beach but don’t let this put you off, the blue sea is directly over the cul-de-sac lane, and the kind staff are even willing to carry your lounger down the lane to the unspoilt Enterprise Beach should you wish. Don’t wait, there are not many rooms and they book up quick!
